Approval from the Board and Allocation of Equity Shares On January 25, the airline's board of directors approved the allocation of 5.55 crore equity shares on a preferential basis to 54 subscribers. This strategic initiative aims to bolster SpiceJet's financial stability and address its current obstacles.
Allocation of Warrants and Future Plans SpiceJet has assigned shares and warrants amounting to Rs 744 crore in the first tranche of capital infusion. Additionally, the board sanctioned the allotment of 9.33 crore warrants to Elara India Opportunities Fund Ltd and Silver Stallion Ltd, signalling a strategic partnership for the airline's expansion.
Request for Extension of Ongoing Preferential Issue Due to challenges associated with limited banking days during extended weekends, SpiceJet has requested additional time from the competent authority to conclude the ongoing preferential issue process. Specific dates for this extension were not disclosed in the announcement.
