Noida police arrest Bigg Boss winner Elvish Yadav in snake venom case.
YouTuber Elvish Yadav arrested in snake venom case after NGO tip-off. Allegations of illegal rave parties and wildlife crimes.
On Sunday, Noida police arrested YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav in a case involving the sale of snake venom at rave parties. The arrest came after a tip-off from People for Animals, an NGO led by BJP Sultanpur MP Maneka Gandhi. Earlier in November 2023, five individuals were apprehended at Chevron banquet hall in Noida Sector 51, based on the NGO's information. Although Yadav was implicated in the FIR, he was not detained at the time.
Subsequent police investigations led to two interrogations of the Bigg Boss winner and the collection of relevant evidence. Additional DCP of Noida, Manish Kumar Mishra, stated that Yadav would soon appear in court. The FIR, filed on the complaint of Gaurav Gupta, the NGO's animal welfare officer, alleges Yadav's involvement in shooting videos with snake venom and live snakes at farmhouses in Noida and NCR. It also accuses him of organizing illegal rave parties, where foreign girls are reportedly invited and snake venom and intoxicants are consumed. Police seized 20ml of snake venom, along with various snakes, including cobras, pythons, and two-headed snakes, as well as krait venom, confirmed by forensic analysis in Jaipur. The FIR charges include criminal conspiracy under IPC section 120B and several sections of The Wildlife (Protection) Act at Sector 49 police station.
