South Central Ambulance Service dispatches additional medical assistance to Ukraine, expanding support amid the ongoing crisis.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) has dispatched its fifth shipment of medical equipment to field hospitals in Ukraine, surpassing g 100 tonnes of supplies sent since the conflict's onset.
The donated goods, though expired for NHS use, remain valuable for treating military and civilian casualties in Ukraine. Kate Ellis, a paramedic team leader, expressed gratitude for the support, acknowledging its lifesaving impact.
Volunteers within SCAS facilitated the collection and dispatch of the equipment from its nursing resource centre near Southampton. The consignment is destined for two field hospitals in Ukraine, aiding in the provision of essential medical care amidst ongoing hostilities.
