Stark Warning: White House Affirms North Korea's Nuclear Attack on US Would Spell the End of Kim Regime

The joint statement from the US-South Korean Nuclear Consultative Group also reiterated that a nuclear attack by Pyongyang on South Korea would be met with a swift and decisive response. The statement, published by the White House, emphasized the unwavering commitment of the United States to provide extended deterrence to South Korea, backed by its full range of capabilities, including nuclear. This reaffirms previous strong warnings issued by US President Joe Biden and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin earlier this year. Despite international pressure, North Korea has declared itself an irreversible nuclear power, asserting the importance of its nuclear program for survival. Last month, Pyongyang claimed success in launching a military spy satellite into orbit, stating it was already providing images of significant US and South Korean military sites.
