All central government offices will observe a half-day closure on January 22 for the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced the decision, considering the sentiments surrounding the event. The Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha will be celebrated nationwide on January 22, 2024. To allow employees to participate, central government offices, institutions, and industrial establishments across India will be closed until 2:30 pm. The pran-pratishtha ceremony at the Ayodhya temple, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries, is scheduled for 12:30 pm on January 22. Ceremonies began on January 16 with specific rituals leading up to the pran-pratishtha.
