Indian CEO of US Private Firm Falls to Death During Company’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations

During the silver jubilee celebrations of a multinational software company at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, Telangana, a tragic incident unfolded, resulting in the death of the US-based Indian CEO and severe injuries to the company's president. The accident occurred when an iron cage contraption, carrying the CEO, Sanjay Shah, and his colleague, collapsed during a function on Thursday night.

The mishap transpired as the CEO and his colleague entered an iron cage, intended to be lowered from a height as part of the celebration. Unfortunately, the plan went awry, and one side of the iron chain supporting the cage broke, causing both individuals to fall to the ground. They were promptly rushed to the hospital, but despite undergoing treatment, Sanjay Shah succumbed to his injuries. The colleague remains in a serious condition.

Following the incident, a case has been registered against the Film City event management authorities. The decision to file the case was based on a complaint lodged by another official of the company. As investigations unfold, the unfortunate event serves as a sombre reminder of the unforeseen risks that can accompany celebratory occasions.
