Sunny Deol, the star of Gadar 2, will retain ownership of his Juhu villa as the planned auction has been canceled due to "technical reasons."
Sunny Deol, who is currently experiencing immense joy due to the massive success of his recent film "Gadar 2," found himself embroiled in a controversy. This arose after a bank decided to auction off a property owned by the actor. The property was set to be auctioned through an online platform by the Bank of Baroda. This action was taken in an attempt to recover a loan that had been extended to Sunny Deol, amounting to around Rs 56 crore.
However, there has been a recent development in this situation. The bank has decided to withdraw the notification for the e-auction of Sunny Deol's residence in Juhu. The bank stated that the decision to revoke the auction notice was made for "technical reasons."
On Monday, the bank issued a new announcement to clarify the situation regarding the e-auction of Sunny Deol's Juhu villa. The bank stated that the previously announced e-auction of the said property has been retracted due to technical reasons. The correction notice, referred to as a "Corrigendum," provided the following information:
"The E-Auction Sale Notice dated 19.08.2023, which was published in The Times of India Mumbai Edition (Page 3) dated 20.08.2023, pertaining to the Sale Notice for the property owned by Mr. Ajay Sing Deol, also known as Mr. Sunny Deol, has been officially withdrawn due to technical reasons.” The property in question is described as follows:
A parcel of land marked as Survey No. 41, Hissa No. 5 (Part), CTS No. 173 of Village Juhu, Taluka Andheri, Mumbai Suburban District, measuring approximately 599.44 square meters, along with the structure known as Sunny Villa, situated at Gandhigram Road, Juhu, Mumbai 400049. This property is associated with the new Municipal assessment number 00121047 and is located in the registration District and Sub-district of Mumbai Suburban."
This official notice provides clarity regarding the withdrawal of the e-auction and the specific details of the property in question.
Sunny Deol's representatives acknowledged the e-auction notice issued for his property. However, his team also clarified that the amount mentioned in the notice was inaccurate. They stated that the reported loan amount was not correct. As of now, Sunny Deol has not publicly responded to the e-auction notice or the situation surrounding it.
