The actress made her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the 1993 film "Baazigar," which played a pivotal role in establishing her in the industry. During a recent interview, Shilpa attributed her early success to Shah Rukh Khan, acknowledging him for teaching her how to face the camera. She also shared how Shah Rukh Khan assisted her in overcoming her struggles with speaking Hindi and acting in her first film, highlighting the actor's patience and support.

However, working with Shah Rukh Khan in her debut film "Baazigar" proved to be a significant learning experience. She credited Shah Rukh Khan for teaching her how to handle the camera and appreciated his extraordinary patience in guiding her through the process.

She shared details about her upcoming projects, including the film "Sukhee," co-starring Kusha Kapila, and Rohit Shetty's debut OTT series, "Indian Special Force," in which she will be seen alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi. "Sukhee" is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 22, 2023.
