According to reports, the digital rights for Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film "Dunki" have been acquired by Jio Cinema for a substantial amount of Rs 155 crores, dispelling previous speculations that Netflix might secure the rights. This acquisition by Jio Cinema indicates the growing competition among streaming platforms for exclusive content from top Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan. Fans can now look forward to enjoying "Dunki" on the Jio Cinema platform once it's released.

According to reports from Indian Express, the digital and satellite rights for "Dunki" have been sold for an impressive sum of Rs 230 crores. The film, produced by Rajkumar Hirani, Gauri Khan, and Jyoti Deshpande, seems to be generating significant interest and investment in digital and satellite distribution rights. This suggests high expectations for the film's performance and anticipation among audiences to watch Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu in this upcoming Christmas release. Shah Rukh Khan will be essaying the role of a Punjabi individual who encounters the challenges of immigration in the film "Dunki." Besides Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu, the film will also feature Vicky Kaushal. During a previous press conference for "Jawan," Shah Rukh Khan mentioned the release dates of his recent films, stating, "On January 26, we started with 'Pathaan,' brought 'Jawan' on Janmashtami, and now, the new year is approaching, it's Christmas, and that's when I will bring 'Dunki.' I believe in national integration; besides, whenever my film releases, it's like Eid."
