The attack on a concert hall resulted in the detention of four suspects, two of whom were apprehended after a car chase. Russian lawmaker Alexander Khinshtein reported their capture in the Bryansk region, with additional suspects arrested in a nearby forest. Among the items found in the car were a pistol, an assault rifle magazine, and Tajikistan passports.
Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed that a total of 11 individuals have been detained, including the four directly linked to the attack. However, the exact source of the death toll, reported to have reached 143 according to Russian state TV editor Margarita Simonyan, remains unclear.
Russia's Federal Security Service is actively assisting the shooting victims. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, marking it as the deadliest in Russia since the 2004 Beslan school siege.
