Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed that a total of 11 individuals have been detained, including the four directly linked to the attack. However, the exact source of the death toll, reported to have reached 143 according to Russian state TV editor Margarita Simonyan, remains unclear.
Russia's Federal Security Service is actively assisting the shooting victims. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, marking it as the deadliest in Russia since the 2004 Beslan school siege.
