Its objectives encompass sharing best practices, providing economic advisory support, enhancing investment strategies, and strengthening connectivity. Participants include ministers from the Stormont Executive and the UK government, with Northern Ireland Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris and Levelling Up Secretary Michael Gove representing the government. They are joined by First and Deputy First Ministers, Economy Minister Conor Murphy, and Communities Minister Gordon Lyons from Stormont. Emphasizing collaboration, Michael Gove highlighted the council's significance in restoring devolution and addressing mutual challenges. DUP's Emma Little-Pengelly stressed the importance of knowledge-sharing across the UK regions, while Sinn Féin's Michelle O'Neill expressed readiness to engage in all forums for the benefit of Northern Ireland.
