Heading back to rejoin duty, Armyman killed in hit-and-run in Gurgaon.

According to police reports on Friday, tragedy struck as a soldier lost his life in a Gurgaon accident while en route to resume his duties. Sanjeet Kumar, aged forty, was accompanied by his son Vishant, aged eighteen, during the incident which occurred around 10:30 am on Thursday.

Authorities stated that Sanjeet, a Havildar in the Army stationed in Kolkata, was returning to duty following a month-long leave. Riding a motorcycle with Vishant as a passenger, their journey was interrupted when their vehicle collided with a private bus, causing them to fall.

A neighbor named Kapur Singh, who was in the vicinity at the time, lodged a complaint detailing the events. "Upon entering National Highway 48, a bus from Bilaspur Chowk collided with their motorcycle... The bus driver fled the scene," Singh recounted. He promptly arranged for an ambulance and notified the family of the victims. "I rushed Sanjeet and Vishant to a nearby hospital... Unfortunately, due to the severity of his injuries, Sanjeet was transferred to Artemis Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased," Singh lamented.

Police confirmed the registration of an FIR against the bus driver, citing relevant sections of the IPC, at the Bilaspur police station.
