Shah Rukh Khan, the renowned Bollywood icon, was hospitalized at Ahmedabad’s KD Hospital on May 22, 2024, reportedly due to dehydration or heatstroke. This incident occurred following his attendance at the inaugural IPL playoff match between his team, the Kolkata Knight Riders, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Allegedly, Khan began feeling unwell upon his return to the ITC Narmada Hotel in Vastrapur after the match, which saw the KKR secure victory by eight runs. Subsequently, his health deteriorated, necessitating immediate admission to KD Hospital. Fortunately, he received timely medical care and was discharged after treatment. The prevailing intense heatwave in the region likely exacerbated his condition.

Although Shah Rukh Khan is reported to be in stable condition now, he has opted to recuperate in Ahmedabad before returning to Mumbai.
