IndiGo launches summer sale with airfares starting at ₹1,199 for domestic and international flights.

IndiGo, the budget airline, has initiated its Hello Summer promotion for both domestic and international flights, featuring fares starting from ₹1,199 inclusive of all charges. This sale commenced on May 29 and runs until May 31, 2024, with travel valid from July 1 to September 30, 2024. Additionally, IndiGo offers up to a 20% discount on seat selection for bookings made within this offer period. The airline emphasizes that this sale is subject to availability, with limited inventory, and discounts cannot be combined with other promotions. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed enthusiasm about this temporary offer, aiming to appeal to travelers seeking cost-effective and convenient travel experiences.

IndiGo recently introduced a new feature for seat selection, specifically catering to female passengers. This feature allows women to view seats already booked by other female travelers during web check-in, enhancing comfort and aligning with the airline's #GirlPower ethos.

Furthermore, as the leading domestic airline with a market share exceeding 60%, IndiGo plans to introduce a business class option on select routes later this year. Details about this "tailor-made business product" will be unveiled in August, coinciding with the carrier's 18th anniversary. Presently, IndiGo operates solely in the economy class, boasting a fleet of over 360 aircraft and approximately 2,000 daily flights.
