Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series announces a biopic on Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
A biopic on cricketer Yuvraj Singh, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Ravi Bhagchandka, will celebrate his career, struggles, and return to cricket.
An upcoming biographical film will explore the remarkable journey of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, the producers revealed on Tuesday. The untitled biopic will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and co-produced by Ravi Bhagchandka, recognized for “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” and the upcoming Aamir Khan film “Sitaare Zameen Par.”
The movie is set to be a "grand celebration of Singh’s unmatched career and contributions to cricket, highlighting his legendary six sixes in the 2007 T20 World Cup, his courageous battles off the field, and his inspiring return to cricket in 2012," according to a press release.
Singh, who started his career at age 13, expressed hope that his story will motivate others to overcome their own obstacles. “I’m deeply honored that my story will reach millions of fans globally through Bhushan and Ravi. Cricket has been my greatest passion and source of strength through every high and low. I hope this film encourages others to face their challenges head-on and pursue their dreams with relentless passion,” said the former all-rounder.
Kumar, known for producing hit films like “Drishyam 2,” “Animal,” “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,” “Kabir Singh,” and “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior,” expressed his excitement about bringing Singh’s inspiring story to the big screen. “Yuvraj Singh’s life is a powerful story of resilience, success, and fervor. His transition from a rising cricketer to a cricketing icon, and then to a hero in real life, is truly motivating. I’m excited to share this story and honor his extraordinary achievements on film,” he said.
