Similarly, the General Secretary of the Resident Doctors Association (RDA) at AIIMS, Delhi, expressed relief at the Court's intervention, stating, “The Court provided us with some relief.” The doctors at AIIMS, who had been on an 11-day strike, decided to call off their protest after the Supreme Court's assurance of safety measures.

Meanwhile, political reactions to the case have been intense. In West Bengal, BJP leaders have staged protests, demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The protests highlight the political sensitivity of the case, which has become a flashpoint for broader discussions about law and order in the state. The Chief Minister’s chief advisor has also written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing concern over the increasing number of rape cases across the country and urging the central government to take stronger action.
