AIBE 18 COP UPDATE: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has issued the Certificate of Practice (COP) for AIBE 18 (VIII) 2023. This certificate has been distributed to all State Bar Councils except Karnataka. The AIBE 18 exam took place on December 10, 2023, with results announced on March 26, 2024. The BCI requires that all lawyers obtain this certificate within two years of provisional enrollment to practice law.

Candidates should collect their COP from their respective State Bar Councils. The Karnataka State Bar Council will release the COP soon, with a separate notification to follow.

Steps to Apply for COP:

1. Obtain the COP application form from the State Bar Council’s website or office.
2. Fill out the form with details on academic qualifications, bar council enrollment, and AIBE exam results.
3. Submit the completed form with required documents and application fee.

• Three recent passport-size photos
• Valid caste certificate (for SC/ST)
