Interestingly, this concert will occur roughly eight years after the stadium first expressed interest in hosting the Grammy-winning band. Some social media users have dubbed this coincidence the "power of manifestation," after uncovering an old tweet from the stadium inviting Coldplay to perform there. In May 2016, DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai tweeted, "Coldplay, we would love to host you at our stadium for a concert in Mumbai - India." Although the planned 2016 concert didn't take place at DY Patil Stadium, instead occurring at MMRDA grounds in Bandra, it seems the venue’s dream of hosting the band is finally coming true.
Users on X were captivated by the coincidence when the old tweet resurfaced and went viral. One user, Samarth, commented, “This is such a full circle moment,” while another joked, “Gotta learn manifestation from DY Patil Stadium.” User Akshay referred to it as the "Power of manifestation," with another noting that it’s a concert eight years in the making.

Chris Martin and his band will perform in India as part of their Spheres World Tour, with two major shows scheduled for January 18 and 19, 2025, at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Ticket prices will range from ₹2,500 to ₹35,000, and bookings will open on September 22, 2024, at noon IST, exclusively through BookMyShow.
