Adani Enterprises launches QIP.

Adani Enterprises Ltd, the flagship company of the Adani group, announced on Wednesday (October 9) that it is launching a qualified institutional placement (QIP) after receiving approval from its board and shareholders. During a meeting on October 9, 2024, the QIP Committee authorized the start of the issuance process, setting a floor price at ₹3,117.48 per share.

The company has the option to offer a discount of up to 5% on the floor price, in accordance with SEBI regulations. The QIP Committee also approved the preliminary placement document and application form. SBI Capital Markets Limited, Jefferies India Private Limited, and ICICI Securities Limited have been appointed as the book-running lead managers (BRLMs) for the offering, while Cantor Fitzgerald & Co will serve as an advisor.

In 2023, Adani Enterprises aimed to raise ₹20,000 crore through India's largest Follow-on Public Offer (FPO), selling shares priced between ₹3,112 and ₹3,276. That FPO was fully subscribed, but the release of the Hindenburg Research report and subsequent stock price corrections led to its cancellation. Recently, Vodafone Idea's ₹18,000 crore fundraising has become the largest FPO in India.
