Dixon Tech's subsidiary to produce Google Pixel smartphones in Noida.

Electronic manufacturing services provider Dixon Technologies announced on Friday that its fully owned subsidiary, Padget Electronics Pvt Ltd, in partnership with Compal Smart Device India Pvt Ltd, will begin mass production of Google Pixel smartphones for Compal's client, Google Information Services India Pvt Ltd. On February 23, Padget Electronics entered into a contract manufacturing agreement with Compal to produce mobile phones for Compal and its designated customers, as noted in Dixon Technologies' filing. The production facility for Padget Electronics is based in Noida.

Compal specializes in manufacturing PCs, smart devices, data center equipment, and LCD products.

Earlier, Dixon stated in an interview with CNBC-TV18 that it expects its margins to improve by 100-120 basis points over the next 24-28 months, driven by growth in mobile components manufacturing. The company plans to increase the value-added portion of its mobile segment from the current 17-18% to 35-36% over the next two to three years.

Dixon has set a revenue target of ₹35,000-40,000 crore for FY25 (2024-25).

Saurabh Gupta, CFO of Dixon Technologies, mentioned, “We have achieved roughly ₹18,600 crore in the first half. I believe the second half will be better than the first. The Q1 (April-June) was a bit slower for us, but a lot of customer ramp-up occurred in Q2 (July-September), so we expect the second half to outperform the first.”

By FY26, the company anticipates that the mobile segment’s contribution to revenue will decrease to 60-65% from the current 70%, due to strong growth in the telecom and IT hardware sectors.
