Hero MotoCorp, a leading global manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported sales of 459,805 units in November 2024. The company is focusing on expanding its premium and scooter range by introducing new models in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) segments. With favorable economic conditions and rising customer sentiment, Hero MotoCorp expects continued growth in the coming months.
VIDA, Hero MotoCorp's electric vehicle brand, saw steady retail sales during the festive season and gained market share. The expansion of the VIDA network through Hero Premia and Hero 2.0 outlets positively impacted the brand's performance.
The company also recorded a 36% year-on-year growth in global business sales in November 2024, reflecting a strong performance in international markets.
During the 32-day festive period starting from Navratri, Hero MotoCorp achieved its highest-ever retail sales, surpassing 1.6 million units, marking a 13% growth over the same period in 2023. VIDA's sales during this period reached 11,600 units, while the Harley-Davidson X440 recorded over 2,800 units sold.
In November, Hero MotoCorp showcased its premium motorcycles and electric vehicles at EICMA 2024, unveiling new models like the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR 250, and the VIDA Z electric scooter. These models are designed for a diverse audience, including adventure enthusiasts, urban riders, and eco-conscious consumers.
The company also launched the Hero For Startups (HFS) program, aimed at supporting and funding innovative startups in India's automotive sector.
In terms of sales performance, Hero MotoCorp sold 425,856 motorcycles and 33,949 scooters in November 2024. For the year-to-date period of FY25, the company has sold 3,918,733 motorcycles and 275,003 scooters, compared to 3,540,305 motorcycles and 294,775 scooters in FY24. Domestic sales for November 2024 totaled 439,777 units, while exports accounted for 20,028 units. Year-to-date domestic sales reached 4,037,846 units, with exports totaling 155,890 units.
Although November 2024 sales were slightly lower than the 491,050 units sold in November 2023, Hero MotoCorp continues to gain momentum across its product categories and markets.
