Škoda Auto India's newly launched sub-4-meter SUV, the Kylaq, has garnered 10,000 bookings just 10 days after reservations opened. This achievement highlights the growing demand for Škoda's latest offering in the competitive Indian market. To capitalize on this momentum, Škoda Auto India is launching the 'India Dream Tour,' a 43-day nationwide initiative to engage with potential customers and showcase the Kylaq across various regions.
Beginning on December 13, 2024, at the Škoda Chakan plant, the tour will see three Kylaq SUVs traveling along different routes, covering nearly 70 cities. The West-South route will include cities such as Pune, Kolhapur, Panaji, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, while the West-North route will pass through Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Delhi. The third route will focus on the eastern region, including Nashik, Nagpur, and Kolkata. The vehicles will return to the Chakan plant on January 25, 2025. Throughout the tour, static displays in key cities will give customers an opportunity to experience the Kylaq's design and features firsthand. The official arrival of the SUV at dealerships is set for January 27, 2025, generating excitement ahead of its launch.
The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0 TSI engine with options for either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. It will be offered in four variants and seven color choices. Safety is a key priority, with over 25 standard safety features across all variants, including six airbags and both active and passive safety systems. The Kylaq has undergone rigorous testing, with more than 800,000 kilometers covered. To sweeten the deal, Škoda Auto India is offering a complimentary 3-year Standard Maintenance Package for the first 33,333 customers, reducing maintenance costs to Rs. 0.24 per kilometer for five years. The Classic variant is already sold out, but customers can express interest and book it once the initial 33,333 units are claimed.
