Akshay expressed his dismay on Twitter stating he was "appalled" after watching the video and he urged for severe punishment for the perpetrators to deter any future recurrence. A senior police official confirmed that the incident occurred on May 4 in Thoubal district, and a zero FIR was lodged on May 18 in Kangpokpi district against "unknown armed miscreants" for charges including abduction, gangrape, and murder. However, despite the FIR being registered two months ago, there have been no arrests made so far. Akshay's message read, "Shaken and disgusted to witness the violence against women in Manipur. I hope the culprits face such a severe punishment that it serves as a strong deterrent against any such horrifying acts in the future."
Furthermore, Kiara Advani tweeted that the video has left her deeply shaken, and she calls for the strictest possible punishment of the doers. "The violence against women in Manipur depicted in the video is truly horrifying and has deeply affected me. My prayers are for the women to receive swift justice. The perpetrators must face the most Severe punishment they rightfully deserve."
Additionally, Sonu Sood also expressed how the Manipur video deeply shook everyone's soul, emphasizing that it was not just the women but humanity itself that was paraded. His tweet read, "The Manipur video has shaken everyone's soul. It was humanity that was paraded... not the women 💔💔."

Renuka Shahane expressed her concern and was being questioned when the atrocities in Manipur would cease and commented that the video is sure to deeply shake people. In her tweet, she wondered if there is no one to put an end to the atrocities in Manipur and stated that if the disturbing video of two women doesn't profoundly affect someone, it calls into question their humanity and even their identity as Bharatiya or Indian.
