IIT Kanpur Professor Suffers Cardiac Arrest While Delivering Lecture, Dies

Upon arrival at the hospital, he was pronounced dead, with authorities revealing that Mr. Khandekar had been diagnosed with high cholesterol levels five years ago. Former IIT Kanpur Director Abhay Karandikar, expressing shock, described Khandekar as an outstanding teacher and researcher.

While delivering a lecture, Khandekar experienced severe chest pain and profuse sweating, collapsing on stage before anyone could comprehend the situation. The body is currently at IIT Kanpur's health centre, and final rites will take place after the arrival of his son Pravah Khandekar from Cambridge University.
