UAE Retains Title As World's Most Powerful Passport In 2024, Indian Passport Ranks At 66
UAE passport tops 2024 Passport Index with access to 180 countries. India ranks 66th, offering entry to 198 countries.
According to the 2024 Passport Index from Arton Capital, a global financial advisory organization, the UAE passport holds the top position globally in terms of power.
Attributed to the UAE's effective diplomatic efforts, the passport allows entry into 180 countries. Holders benefit from visa-free access to 120 countries and the option to obtain visas for 50 countries online or upon arrival.
In the second position, passports from Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and the Netherlands provide access to 178 countries. Passports from Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria, and Switzerland secure the third spot, offering entry to 177 countries.
Passports from Denmark, Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Ireland, and South Africa take the fourth position, granting access to 176 countries globally. The fifth spot is shared by passports from Singapore, Greece, Norway, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Japan, and New Zealand, also allowing entry into 176 countries.
The Indian passport, positioned at number 66 on the 2024 Passport Index by Arton Capital alongside Zambia, offers access to 198 countries. However, a visa is required for 121 countries. Indian passport holders enjoy visa-free travel in 26 countries, while 51 countries have a visa-on-arrival requirement.
