Lawyer urges filing of FIR against officials implicated in the investigation report on the Indore stepwell collapse.
An accident occurred in March last year when the roof of a stepwell collapsed in Indore’s Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal temple, killing 36 people.
In Indore, a lawyer has called for the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) against municipal officials implicated in a magisterial probe's findings regarding the collapse at a stepwell near a temple in Madhya Pradesh's Indore, resulting in the tragic loss of 36 lives. The incident occurred in March of the previous year when the roof of a stepwell at Indore's Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal temple collapsed. On January 6, in compliance with court directives, the state government presented the magisterial inquiry report on the accident.
Advocate Manish Yadav, addressing reporters on Tuesday, highlighted that the magisterial report holds both former and current municipal officers of the area, as well as the former and current officers of the water works department, responsible for the temple accident. However, no FIR has been filed against them to date. The lawyer expressed his intention to approach the court if an FIR is not promptly registered against these officers.
