Arvind Kejriwal reacts to refugee protest over his CAA remark.

On Friday, Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and the National Convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), strongly criticized Pakistani and Bangladeshi refugees protesting against opposition leaders' remarks on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). "These Pakistanis, who have illegally entered our country and violated our laws, should have been in jail instead of protesting," he remarked in a statement on X.

Kejriwal also lambasted the BJP, accusing them of jeopardizing the nation's welfare for their political gain by pandering to these refugees. "The BJP's pursuit of these refugees as a vote bank will only lead to further trouble, with Pakistanis and Bangladeshis spreading across the country causing disruption," he added.

Earlier, on Thursday, Kejriwal questioned the audacity of the refugees protesting against his stance on the CAA, demanding an apology from him, a leader elected by the people of Delhi with overwhelming support. "Today, a group of Pakistanis caused commotion outside my residence. Despite being treated respectfully by the Delhi Police and receiving full support from the BJP, how dare they demand an apology from a Chief Minister elected by the people of Delhi?" he exclaimed.

During their protest in Delhi against the INDIA bloc and Congress leaders' comments on the CAA implementation, numerous refugees from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh breached barricades.
