New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG 2024) from May 15 to 24. This year's exam will be in hybrid mode, with both Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Pen and Paper modes. About 13.48 lakh candidates from 380 cities, including 26 cities outside India, will participate.
Introduced in 2022, CUET UG provides a unified opportunity for admission to central, state, deemed, and private universities. Candidates can participate in the counselling process of any institution, even if not initially applied there, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
Candidates found using unfair means will face severe consequences, including a three-year ban from future exams and possible criminal actions. The results of those involved in unfair practices will be cancelled.
Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing items like textual material, calculators, and electronic devices into the examination centre. Extensive frisking will be conducted using highly sensitive metal detectors.
