IIT Delhi Opens Abu Dhabi Campus Admission via JEE Advanced 2024 Scores.

IIT Delhi has initiated the admission process for its inaugural undergraduate programs at its Abu Dhabi campus. Applications are now being accepted for a four-year Bachelor of Technology (BTech) course in Computer Science and Engineering as well as a four-year Bachelor of Technology (BTech) course in Energy Science and Engineering. Admission to IIT Delhi's Abu Dhabi campus will be determined through the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) and JEE Advanced examinations. The CAET is a newly introduced test by IIT Delhi, tailored specifically for the UAE region.

These two undergraduate courses are set to commence in the academic year 2024-25, with an initial intake of 30 students for each program. Regarding the admission distribution, one-third of the total seats are reserved for UAE nationals, one-third for UAE residents/International Students, and one-third for candidates qualifying the JEE Advanced 2024 exam.

The CAET exam, administered by the JEE Office at IIT Delhi, is scheduled for June 23, 2024, across various centers in the UAE. The CAET 2024 will be a non-computer (pen-paper) based test, where responses are to be marked on an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet provided to the candidate. Registration for the exam is open until June 10, 2024, via the portal - admissions.abudhabi.iitd.ac.in/application/caet-2024.

The language of the CAET will be English, and it will consist of three question papers of 90 minutes duration each on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, scheduled in different time slots. All papers are compulsory for candidates.

For candidates who clear the JEE Advanced 2024 examination, their ranks can be used to apply for admission to IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi through a separate portal accessible from the website after the announcement of the JEE Advanced results. Seat allotment for IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi will be conducted through this portal, not through the JoSAA portal, for students applying through both the JEE Advanced and CAET routes.
