Hrithik Roshan Backs Post Against Constable Who Slapped Kangana Ranaut.
Several Bollywood celebrities, including Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, and Sonakshi Sinha, have expressed support for Kangana Ranaut after she was slapped by a CISF constable at Chandigarh airport.
In Mumbai, several Bollywood personalities, including Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Zoya Akhtar, Soni Razdan, Arjun Kapoor, and Prajakta Koli, have shown support for actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, who was slapped by a CISF constable at Chandigarh airport. The incident happened on Thursday while Kangana was traveling to Delhi, a day after winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh as a BJP candidate.
Other celebrities, such as Anupam Kher, Mika Singh, Raveena Tandon, and Shekhar Suman, also condemned the incident.
Journalist Faye D'Souza took to Instagram to denounce the slap, emphasizing that "violence can never be the answer." She highlighted India's foundation on Gandhi's principles of non-violence and stressed that disagreements should not lead to violent reactions, particularly from security personnel. "Imagine if, over the last ten years, those questioning power were assaulted at airports by constables aligned with that power," she wrote. On Saturday, Kangana Ranaut responded to those defending the CISF personnel, stating, "Every rapist, murderer, or thief always has a strong emotional, physical, psychological, or financial reason to commit a crime; no crime ever happens without a reason, yet they are convicted and sentenced to jail. If you are aligned with the criminal's strong emotional impulse to commit a crime, violating all laws of the land."
