The accident led to the death of a woman on the scooter. Authorities are considering questioning his girlfriend. Mihir Shah, 24, son of a Shiv Sena leader from the Eknath Shinde faction, caused chaos in Worli when his BMW collided with a scooter carrying Pradeep and Kaveri Nakhwa, a fish-selling couple. The collision flung Pradeep onto the car’s hood, while Kaveri was tragically dragged 1.5 kilometers, resulting in her death.

Aaditya Thackeray Calls for ‘Bulldozer Justice’ in BMW Hit-and-Run Case

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Wednesday demanded “bulldozer justice” in the fatal BMW hit-and-run case involving Mihir Shah, son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah. Thackeray questioned why Mihir Shah's house hasn't faced punitive demolition, a practice seen in BJP-ruled states like Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Thackeray met with the family of Kaveri Nakhwa (45), the woman killed in the accident, and stressed that they seek justice, not monetary aid. The accident occurred when Mihir Shah's BMW hit a scooter in Worli, killing Kaveri and injuring her husband Pradeep.

Thackeray emphasized that the case, in which Mihir Shah is charged with culpable homicide, should be treated as murder. Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced a Rs 10 lakh aid for the deceased woman's family. The Shiv Sena has removed Rajesh Shah from his position as deputy leader. Mihir Shah was arrested on Tuesday, nearly three days after the accident, and is in police custody until July 16.
