The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has updated Sunday schedules for its Phase III lines, with some services starting earlier at 6 am and others at 7 am, effective August 25, 2024.

Delhi Metro revises Sunday timings for Phase III lines. Check details

On Friday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced revised Sunday schedules for its Phase III lines. Previously, service began at 8 am, but some lines will now start at 6 am, while others will commence at 7 am. This adjustment aims to better serve commuters, including students with Sunday competitive exams. In a statement on X, DMRC noted, “Starting from this Sunday, August 25, 2024, the Sunday schedule for Phase-III lines will be revised. This change is designed to benefit commuters and students who have competitive exams typically held on Sundays. The extended hours will make it easier for them to reach their destinations across Delhi-NCR efficiently. Services on all other Metro lines will continue to operate from 6:00 AM as usual.”

The revised Sunday timings are as follows:

  • Line-1: Dishad Garden to Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda) – from 8 am to 6 am
  • Line-3: Noida City Centre to Noida Electronic City – from 8 am to 6 am
  • Line-5: Mundka to Brig. Hoshiar Singh – from 8 am to 6 am
  • Line-6: Badarpur Border to Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh) – from 8 am to 6 am
  • Line-7: Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar – from 8 am to 7 am
  • Line-8: Botanical Garden to Janakpuri West – from 8 am to 7 am
  • Line-9: Dhansa Bus Stand to Dwarka – from 8 am to 7 am

Phase III lines include routes such as Dilshad Garden to Shaheed Sthal, Noida City Centre to Noida Electronic City, Mundka to Brigadier Hoshiar Singh, Badarpur Border to Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh), Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar, Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden, and Dhansa Bus Stand to Dwarka.

In related news, the Delhi Metro recently set a new record with 77.48 lakh daily passenger journeys on August 20, surpassing the previous high of over 72 lakh journeys recorded on August 13. The expanded network now spans nearly 393 km and includes 2,888 stations across the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Corridor and the Rapid Metro in Gurugram.
