Vidya Balan has a fangirl moment on KBC 16, dancing with Amitabh Bachchan to promote her upcoming film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, alongside co-star Kartik Aaryan.
KBC 16: Vidya Balan had a true fangirl moment when she arrived on the Kaun Banega Crorepati set with co-star Kartik Aaryan to promote her upcoming Diwali release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. In a recently shared promo, she was seen dancing with host Amitabh Bachchan, much to the delight of the audience. The pair grooved to the classic song "Dilbar Mere" from Satte pe Satta, sharing smiles for a few seconds while Kartik watched from his seat. After their dance, Vidya embraced Amitabh before returning to her place, leading him to humorously comment that the show's creators would surely hear from him for not keeping him informed about all the things he has to do each episode. The episode featuring Vidya and Kartik is set to air on October 18 at 9 PM on SonyTV.
On Monday, both Kartik and Vidya shared a photo on their social media, striking the signature Bhool Bhulaiyaa pose together. Kartik donned a blue suit, Amitabh wore a black bandhgala, and Vidya appeared in a printed black sari. They captioned the post: “Rooh Baba x Manjulika x Bhootnaath.”
Amitabh played Bhootnath in the 2008 film by Vivek Sharma and its 2014 sequel directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Vidya previously starred alongside Amitabh in R Balki's Paa, where she portrayed his mother. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 marks the third installment in the horror-comedy franchise that began with Priyadarshan's 2007 film. The first installment featured Akshay Kumar as the ghostbuster, while Kartik Aaryan took over the lead as Rooh Baba in the 2022 sequel, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Vidya, who played Manjulika in the original, will reprise her role after 17 years in the third film, which, like its predecessor, is directed by Anees Bazmee. The movie is set to hit theaters on November 1, coinciding with Diwali.
