Voltas' net profit more than doubled to ₹133 crore in Q2.
Voltas Ltd reported a significant increase in its consolidated net profit for the September quarter, soaring to ₹132.83 crore, a more than twofold rise compared to the previous year.
On Tuesday, Voltas Ltd, a manufacturer of air-conditioning systems and provider of engineering services, reported that its consolidated net profit for the September quarter surged more than twofold to ₹132.83 crore, driven by a 56% increase in volume from its room AC segment. In the same period last year, the company had a consolidated net profit of ₹35.65 crore, according to a regulatory filing.
Voltas' revenue from operations rose by 14.23% to ₹2,619.11 crore during the quarter, up from ₹2,292.75 crore a year earlier. Total expenses also climbed, increasing by 10.74% to ₹2,486.89 crore in the September quarter.
Additionally, Voltas' total income, which includes other income, grew by 16.53% in the September quarter, reaching ₹2,754.58 crore.
On the BSE, Voltas Ltd shares closed at ₹1,770.50 on Tuesday, reflecting a 0.47% increase from the previous close.
