On Tuesday, opposition party leaders organized a protest against the Maharashtra government, claiming that the state's health services were in critical condition. The leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, which includes the Shiv Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar's faction of the Nationalist Congress Party, and the Congress, chanted slogans against Maharashtra Health Minister Tanaji Sawant and his department.

Vijay Wadettiwar, the Leader of the Opposition in the legislative assembly, Ambadas Danve, the Leader of the Opposition in the legislative council, along with Congress leaders Ashok Chavan and Balasaheb Thorat, assembled on the steps outside the Vidhan Bhavan. They wore white coats, carried stethoscopes, and held a stretcher. Addressing the press, Danve expressed concern about the deteriorating health services in the state, citing numerous deaths reported in government hospitals in Nagpur, Nanded, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Kalwa in Thane district. He stated that the health services in Maharashtra were in critical condition, emphasizing a shortage of medicines in state-run hospitals. Danve accused the government of failing to deliver adequate healthcare to patients.
