महादेव बेटिंग ऐप के प्रमोटर रवि उप्पल को दुबई में गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है।

In a significant development concerning the Mahadev betting app case, one of its primary promoters, Ravi Uppal, has been apprehended by Dubai police based on an Interpol-issued red corner notice requested by the Enforcement Directorate. Uppal, detained last week, is expected to face deportation to India shortly. The Mahadev app, known for its purported daily profit of ₹200 crore, had stirred political controversy before the Chhattisgarh elections in November.

The Enforcement Directorate had previously asserted that a cash courier, Asim Das, accused the app promoters of paying ₹508 crore to the then Chhattisgarh chief minister, Bhupesh Baghel. However, when presented in court, Das claimed to be framed in a conspiracy and denied delivering any cash to politicians. Further investigations revealed that Uppal, holding a Vanuatu passport, freely moved around without relinquishing his Indian citizenship. Notably, he had also applied for an Australian visa using the same passport.

Meanwhile, the other app promoter, Sourabh Chandrakar, known for his ₹200-crore wedding attended by Bollywood celebrities in Dubai in February, remains at large. The Enforcement Directorate is actively pursuing efforts to locate him.
