India reported 412 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases to 4,170, as stated by the health ministry on Tuesday
The death toll from the viral disease reached 5,33,337, with three new fatalities recorded in Karnataka within 24 hours, according to the ministry's 8 am update.
India's overall COVID-19 case tally is now at 4,50,09,660. The number of individuals who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,44,72,153, resulting in a national recovery rate of 98.81 per cent, according to the ministry's website.
The case fatality rate remains at 1.19 %. The website also reports that 220.67 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the country so far.
