BJP's Lok Sabha campaign is at full throttle, spanning from South to Maharashtra, featuring events like 'Thank you Modi Bhaijan' and the 'Luv-Kush Yatra'. 

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to be in Tamil Nadu to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various development projects totalling more than Rs 19,850 crore. These projects span the aviation, rail, road, oil and gas, shipping, and higher education sectors.

Beginning in Tiruchirappalli, Modi will serve as the chief guest at the 38th Convocation Ceremony of Bharathidasan University and unveil the New Terminal Building at Tiruchirappalli International Airport.

Following this, the Prime Minister will proceed to Agatti in Lakshadweep, where he will address a public function and inaugurate developmental projects.

In a separate development, the Uttar Pradesh Congress Chief, Ajay Rai, announced plans for party workers to surround Prime Minister Modi's constituency office in Varanasi 

on Tuesday. This demonstration aims to protest against the alleged involvement of local BJP leaders in the gang rape case of a Banaras Hindu University (BHU) student. Three men, who claim to be members of the BJP's IT cell, were recently arrested in connection with the incident.

Additionally, on Tuesday, the sale of the 30th tranche of electoral bonds will commence. Electoral bonds are promoted as an alternative to cash donations to political parties, contributing to transparency in political funding. The State Bank of India (SBI) has been authorized to issue and encash these bonds through its 29 authorized branches from January 2 to January 11, 2024.
