India only country where we have so much growth: EIL chairman at Davos

Vartika Shukla, the Chairman and Managing Director of Engineers India Limited (EIL), has expressed optimism about India's growth prospects, highlighting the nation's skills as emerging export potential. In an interview at the World Economic Forum, Shukla emphasized India's unique position as a country with abundant growth, a wealth of skills, and a youthful demographic, making it an attractive destination globally.

Speaking about the opportunities India presents as a growing economy, Shukla underlined that India stands out with its significant talent pool, youth, and energy. She conveyed confidence that discussions and interactions at Davos, especially during the World Economic Forum in 2024 and 2025, will bring about substantial positive changes.

Shukla discussed EIL's participation at the summit, noting that the World Economic Forum has provided avenues for the company. Meetings with stakeholders have focused on sustainable technologies for the future, aligning with India's vision for energy transition. Under the leadership of Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, EIL has engaged with companies working on biofuels, digital interventions, and capacity building.

Highlighting India's credibility on the global stage, Shukla mentioned the positive mood among investors and tech companies towards India. She described India as "credible" due to the policies implemented under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, expressing excitement about the recognition of change in both the public and private sectors.

Shukla shared insights into India's strong presence at Davos, with state pavilions and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) hosting a WeLead lounge. She expressed hope that discussions during the summit would translate into mega projects, reflecting the conducive atmosphere and positive reception from the government.
