Residents of a 60-unit apartment building in Abbotsford, B.C., have endured over a month without central heating, relying on space heaters during cold weather. Cogir Real Estate, the property management company, distributed heaters to all tenants after determining that the boiler couldn't be repaired. While a contract for a new boiler has been awarded, the timeline for restoration of central heating remains open-ended. Residents, including many seniors and those with medical needs, expressed dissatisfaction with the prolonged situation. Housing Minister Ravi Kahlon called the situation "extremely concerning"
