Sharks critique mobile, grammar issues in WTF startup; one by one, out.

In Shark Tank India Season 3, every startup seeks funding, but not everyone succeeds. Sharks express displeasure over business or founder preferences. In one episode of the third season, a startup named "WTF" faced the wrath of all the sharks. The founders, Vishal Nigam and Anita Nigam initiated the venture to modernize local gyms. Their ambition was to transform local gyms into contemporary spaces akin to the OYO model.

WTF took over the operations and maintenance of local gyms, striving to enhance hygiene, staff, ambiance, and technology. The founders envisioned creating a network of modernized gyms, starting in Delhi-NCR and Bangalore, with plans to expand to Kolkata. The company had already modernized 43 gyms and aimed to launch in Kolkata soon, with a long-term goal of reaching 5000 gyms in the next five years.

WTF introduced an AI app named "Viti" to analyze gym data, including user information, revenue, and retention rates. However, during their pitch on Shark Tank, the sharks raised concerns about the authenticity of the data input into Viti. The founders claimed that Viti helped improve gym efficiency based on the provided data.

The trouble escalated when Deepinder Goyal, associated with marketing, began pointing out errors in the company's marketing collateral during the show. The errors included a missing digit in the company's contact number and grammatical mistakes. This led to a series of questions and criticisms from the sharks.

Vishal admitted to the mistakes but faced additional challenges when questioned about his personal use of the gym facilities. The sharks, displeased with the company's valuation of INR 50 crores and its modest monthly revenue of INR 50,000, eventually decided to opt out of any potential deals.

In the end, the sharks emphasized the importance of passion and commitment to one's brand, expressing disappointment in WTF's approach towards its business and customers. The episode highlighted the need for founders to not only rectify errors but also to embody a genuine dedication to their ventures.
