Kangana Ranaut slams Supriya Shrinate on objectionable social post against her.
Kangana Ranaut defends diverse roles amid controversy. Congress leader alleges social media hack.
A significant uproar ensued following the circulation of a deleted offensive post by Congress leader Supriya Shrinate targeting actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut.
Following the uproar sparked by the now-removed Instagram post, Kangana addressed Supriya ji on social media platform X, reflecting on her 20-year career portraying diverse female roles, ranging from innocence to seduction, and from divinity to rebellion.
"We need to liberate our daughters from prejudice, transcend mere curiosity about their bodies, and, most importantly, cease to degrade sex workers by using their challenging circumstances as derogatory terms... Every woman deserves dignity," emphasized the actor, who is currently the BJP candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
Dear Supriya ji

In the last 20 years of my career as an artist I have played all kinds of women. From a naive girl in Queen to a seductive spy in Dhaakad, from a goddess in Manikarnika to a demon in Chandramukhi, from a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivii.… pic.twitter.com/GJbhJTQAzW
Shortly afterwards, the Congress leader responded on X, alleging that an individual with access to her social media accounts had posted the offensive content without her consent.
"I was appalled to discover that an utterly distasteful and objectionable post was made from my meta accounts (FB and Insta), which has since been removed. Anyone familiar with me would know that such derogatory remarks towards women are entirely out of character for me. However, I've recently learned of a parody account on Twitter (@Supriyaparody) misappropriating my identity, which appears to have instigated this incident and is currently under investigation," stated the Congress leader.
"I promptly removed the post. Those who are acquainted with me also know that I would never resort to making derogatory or inappropriate remarks about any woman. I was determined to understand how this happened, and it has come to my attention that my name is being exploited on Twitter through a parody account called Supriyaparody," the leader informed ANI.
