Lok Sabha polls: Rajnath Singh jumps on ‘moye moye’ trend to mock opposition.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh ridicules opposition, praises BJP, claims India's evacuation success in Ukraine amid denial by MEA.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh enthusiastically joined in on the popular 'moye moye' trend while taking a light-hearted jab at the opposition bloc INDIA. Speaking at a public rally in Ghaziabad, Singh asserted that the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) would find it challenging to confront the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in the Lok Sabha elections, stating that "desh ki janta moye moye kar degi" (the nation's people will make mincemeat of them).
Highlighting the fragility of the coalition formed by various opposition parties, Rajnath Singh remarked on the opportunistic nature of some self-serving opposition leaders. He emphasized their inability to stand against the NDA even when united, suggesting that the electorate would similarly thwart their efforts. Singh, while canvassing for BJP's Lok Sabha candidate Atul Garg in Ghaziabad, underscored Garg's candidacy following the withdrawal of Union Minister and incumbent BJP MP Gen (retd) VK Singh from the electoral race. Garg presently serves as a member of the state legislative assembly from Ghaziabad.
In his pitch for votes, Rajnath Singh referenced the successful repatriation of Indian nationals stranded in conflict-ridden Ukraine, attributing it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts. He expressed pride in the evacuation of 22,500 Indian students after Modi's diplomatic engagements with foreign leaders. Singh lauded this as an example of India's capability to navigate international crises effectively.
