Mossad-like targeted killings in Pakistan: How it may help BJP in Lok Sabha polls

During the Vijay Sankalp Rally in Rishikesh, Prime Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narendra Modi praised the Uri and Balakot surgical strikes, highlighting the government's resolve. He stated that under the 10-year governance of the BJP, terrorists have been targeted within their territories. This affirmation of a 'Mazboot Modi Sarkar' coincides with allegations linking Indian sleeper cells of RAW, reportedly operated by PM Modi's office, to targeted killings in Pakistan.

PM Modi commended the 2019 Balakot airstrike, conducted on February 26, 2019, as well as the Uri surgical strike on September 29, 2016. The Balakot airstrike targeted an alleged terrorist training camp in Pakistan just before the Lok Sabha polls. Similarly, the Uri surgical strike occurred after militants attacked an Indian army outpost, resulting in the loss of 19 soldiers.

Modi asserted that the Indian tricolour symbolizes security even in war zones, highlighting the government's commitment to national defence. He criticized weak governance, suggesting that adversaries exploit such situations.

In a rebuke to the Congress, PM Modi highlighted deficiencies in defence preparedness during their regime, citing inadequate protection for soldiers. He emphasized the lack of bulletproof jackets and proper arrangements to shield soldiers from enemy fire.

The rally underscored the BJP's narrative of a strong and decisive leadership under Modi's stewardship, contrasting it with the perceived shortcomings of previous administrations. Modi's rhetoric aimed to galvanize public support by portraying the BJP as a guarantor of national security and defence preparedness, particularly in the face of external threats.
