NTA postpones UGC NET 2024 (August 26) exam, check revised schedule.

UGC NET 2024 Postponed: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the UGC NET exam originally set for August 26 due to the Krishna Janmashtami holiday. The examination, initially scheduled for that day, will now be held on August 27, with no changes to the rest of the UGC NET schedule until further notice.

The exams originally slated for August 26 included Philosophy, Hindi, Oriya, Nepali, Manipuri, Assamese, and Santali.

Meanwhile, NTA has released city intimation slips for candidates scheduled to take the exams on August 21, 22, and 23. These slips can be accessed on the official UGC NET website, with those for later dates to be released soon.

Steps to Check the UGC NET June 2024 City Intimation Slip:

  1. Visit the official UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
  2. Click on the "Advance Exam City Intimation" link on the homepage.
  3. Enter your application number, date of birth, and the provided captcha.
  4. Your city intimation slip will appear on the screen.
  5. Save the slip for future reference.

The UGC NET June 2024 exams will take place from August 21 to September 4 in a computer-based test (CBT) format. Previously, the exam scheduled for June 18 was canceled due to a confirmed paper leak. That exam was conducted in two shifts and in an offline mode, across 317 cities, with over 900,000 candidates participating. The UGC NET is conducted twice a year for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), assistant professor appointments, and PhD program admissions in Indian universities and colleges.
