Trump Denounces 'Scam' Poll as Nikki Haley Gains Ground, Sparks Election Excitement
Trump slams "scam" NH poll showing Haley close. National lead, donor support for Haley. DeSantis lags. Sununu endorsement questioned.
Former US President Donald Trump criticized a survey conducted by the American Research Group, dismissing it as a "scam" after it revealed Nikki Haley trailing him by a mere four points. The poll carried out on December 21, indicated that 33 per cent of New Hampshire GOP voters favoured Trump, while 29 per cent supported the former South Carolina governor.

Trump took to his Truth Social platform to express his dissatisfaction, stating, "A fake New Hampshire poll was released on Birdbrain. Just another scam!" Responding to New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu's endorsement of Haley, Trump commented in the post, "Sununu is now one of the least popular governors in the US. A real poll will follow."
While national polls consistently show Trump leading other Republicans, recent support from donors, including LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, has been directed towards Haley. Her poll numbers have experienced a steady rise, attributed to her impressive debate performances.
The latest polls have also widened the gap between Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who had been in a tight race for months. The polls indicated DeSantis securing 6 per cent support.
